BIG WILL – RISE UP  (Mon-Fri: 7-12pm)

What makes a Big Will? Two parts charm, three parts handsome and a whole lotta Rozay!
Hailing from the Peguis First Nation, Big Will is the co-host of the Rise Up Morning Show with Miss Melissa!
An aspiring singer/songwriter, comedian, wannabe rapper and cinema enthusiast, Big Will wears his love for music on his sleeve and pants. With a swagga that combines Notorious BIG’s stature and a hint of Johnny Cash’s baritone pipes, Big Will joined the Streetz team at the end of 2010 after the CEO of NCI/Streetz FM heard him do an interview for his music.
Educated and on the way to the top, Big Will studied Microbiology (fully certified nerd) at the University of Manitoba and was destined to be a Doctor when he was offered the position of co-host on Streetz.
“Med school will always be there” chirps the 24 year-old DJ. “I love writing music, singing and most of all listening to music! Dream job much?!”
A notorious ladykiller, Big Will has been spotted on numerous occasions with the likes of Rihanna, Dev, and Vanda Streetz. A former UFC Featherweight champion, he released a series of nude paintings in early 2003 that landed him GQ’s Sexiest Man of the Year twice in the same year.
Whether he’s singing his songs in Winnipeg’s coffee shops or bangin’ the mic at Streetz, Big Will lives for the music. “Rock, rap, country, and pop is what I’m feelin’, no need for the lines, we’re all just rhymin’ for a livin’!”
